Sanford Hinderlie is a jazz pianist, educator, composer, and record producer based in New Orleans. A member of the music faculty at Loyola University New Orleans since 1981, he teaches contemporary music and music technology, and currently leads the Bachelor of Science of Popular and Commercial Music degree. He has served as a visiting professor at universities and conservatories worldwide, and as a successful grantwriter, has spearheaded the development of music technology laboratories and recording studios in the College of Music and Fine Arts at Loyola for over three decades.

Hinderlie has performed as a jazz pianist and an electronic musician/composer across the globe, including concerts and festivals in the Far East, the former Soviet Union, the Republics of Georgia and Armenia, the Middle East, Europe and throughout the United States. He has composed for television and film, as well as produced nearly thirty recordings of New Orleans jazz and rhythm and blues artists on his label STR Digital Records, including three of his own CDs.
